Your Letters MATTER
Throughout the trip we are distributing care packages to sponsored children. I was able to hand out and help open packages with Eunice, and Anthony. The joy these children have when seeing the love from their sponsored families is absolutely amazing! Even though Pastor Keith is always telling us back home how the children really care about their sponsors and want to connect with them. I never thought it would be to this extent. They really do know your names and whatever you have shared with them about your family. They truly love you even though they have never and may never meet you on this side of Heaven.
Even though I did not assist Promise or Mercy in opening their packages, seeing the older children open their new treasures was beyond words.
Unlike American children who bypass the letters or cards and rush to the toys these children really light up to see a letter and especially a photo of your family. I feel so blessed to be a part of this experience and see the joy in these beautiful children.
