Moody Gospel Choir

This morning we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome the Moody Gospel Choir as our guests - or as we affectionately refer to them, "The Emily Sterkel Gospel Choir"!
The choir was fabulous. What passion and heart behind their songs - and what joy. We thoroughly enjoyed the music and the opportunity to worship our savior through their music. Morgan Losole is a senior at Moody and conducts the student-led choir with excellence. Some of our boys (maybe girls too) went home with a new found love for the bass guitar after observing it being played with such energy and skill. We all found ourselves dancing to the music just a little bit more than normal!
The heart of this choir is to come humbly before the Lord, leading others into a time of worship through song. Their theme verse for this year is Psalm 63:3-5 "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you." They certainly accomplished that this morning.
