Wesolych Swiat!

That's Happy Easter in Polish! We arrived in Lubin last night around 7:00 after a happy reunion with Bruce and Linda at the airport. We went to church at Lubin Baptist Church at noon because Easter breakfast is the most celebrated meal of the day so some extra time was needed in the morning. On Saturday, our friends gather up their breakfast foods, boiled eggs, kielbasa, bread, salt, a candy lamb and butter and then enjoy a feast on Sunday morning.

The church service was all in Polish and I was surprised to find out how hard it is to sing English words when everyone around us was singing Polish words! It was confusing but also very special as we worshiped with our brothers and sisters here. We did have an interpreter for the sermon which was given by one of the elders, who spoke about the resurrection of Christ. A picture of the congregation is below.

The weather here is beautiful and tomorrow we plan to be outside all day viewing a building site and another building that has been donated to the church. Please continue to pray for us.
