Children's Sunday School
Sundays, 10:45 - 12:00
Sunday School classes are available for children age 2 and up (yes - they can learn at 2!). Encouraging students to know, love and obey God’s Word is the primary focus with both large and small group interactions taking place in all grades.
From ages two through 5th grade, our Sunday School ministry provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories. Our three-year scope and sequence plan uses a precept-upon-precept approach to teach Bible concepts, skills, and stories. In this way, biblical learning in each age group builds upon previous learning.

In effort to help parents carry out their responsiblity to be discipling their children all children through fifth grade will be studying similar passages of scripture each Sunday. Preschool children on one schedule and elementary children are on another. That means at most, parents have one or two passages of scripture to work on at home with their children. Some parents like to teach the material ahead of time and allow the class to be a reinforcement while others take the opposite approach. It doesn't matter to us what approach you (parents) take - as long as you take one!
Some highlights of this ministry include:
- Provides Bible study focused on each age group’s level of learning, and a three-year scope and sequence to give preschoolers and children a firm foundation in biblical concepts.
- Includes a one-year chronological study (Genesis through Acts) for grades 1-5; kids have the opportunity to study the Bible chronologically twice during the childhood years
- Meets the needs of different learning styles through a variety of teaching methods
- Enables kids to internalize Bible truths and apply them to life
- Leads teachers and parents to guide kids toward a biblical worldview
- Fosters relationships between kids and adult leaders
