KEEP IT SIMPLE Mark 7:31-8:20 While the Christian life may seem complex at times, Mark reminds us of the simplicity of following Christ. This simplicity consists of three activities: 1. Get alone with Christ. This involves: > Being away from people > Having some private time with Him > Allowing Jesus to speak to our problems This time allows for a: > Personal connection > Powerful transformation > Public affirmation 2. Grow in your compassion for others. This growth means we must: > Spend time with others > Seek to help those going through tough times > Share our things to help others 3. Guard against the challenges to our faith. These challenges can lead to a faith that is: > Dead > Double-minded > Dull We must confront each of these with a: > Dynamic faith
