MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
Mark 4:30-34
Jesus' parable of the mustard seed involves the possibility of:
1. Missing the presence of God's Kingdom.
God's Kingdom is:
- Defined as: The manifest presence of God's lordship over all the creation which was attained by His death on the cross, afforded to us by His resurrection, and imparted to us by His Spirit through faith in Him. This will be consummated at His Second Coming.
- Described as having:
- A small beginning
- Phenomenal blossoming
- Inevitable blessing
2. Misunderstanding the power of God's Kingdom.
This power is:
- Hidden
- Seen in the change of heart
- Revealed at the harvest
3. Ministering in light of God's promise.
This promise ensures that we can:
- Boldly tell others about Jesus
- Break away from sin
- Build God's Kingdom today
