As we study the heavenly departure of Elijah, we are reminded that our departure involves:
1. Waiting on our own time of parting.
- This parting is a:
- Privileged opportunity.
- Promised occasion.
- Private occurence.
2. Walking the right path.
- This path is one of:
- Purpose.
- Progress.
- Partnership.
3. Working to win the prize.
- This work involves:
- Faith in the Redeemer.
- Finding those who will replace us.
- Finishing the race well.
