The Best of Times, the Worst of Times

1 Kings 16:29-17:1

The paradox surrounding the events in Israel is seen in:

The perversions that invaded the culture.

  • These perversions came from a:
    • Nagging and nasty religion.
    • Number of wicked rulers.
    • Notorious relationship.

 The person whom God calls.

  • We learn about Elijah by understanding his…
    • Name.
    • Neighborhood.
    • Nature.

The proclamation that shows great courage.

  • To better understand this we must examine the:
    • Preface that allows for such authority.
    • Particulars regarding this act of divine sovereignty.
    • Purpose for such activity.
    • Prerequisites we must have to pursue this ministry.
