About Us

The Pregnancy Information Center (PIC) has served women and men since 1985.  Our services are free, confidential and offered in English and Spanish. We provide accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns. One of the services that we offer, which stands us out from the rest, is our Education Program. We are the only Pregnancy Resource Center in our area that offers parenting and life skills classes. We are committed to walking the journey with each client (and their partner) from the moment they take their pregnancy test all the way through their child’s first birthday. Each course we offer empowers men and women to confidently step into parenting, knowing we are there every step of the way. At the completion of each 4-week course, clients receive substantial material assistance.

In 2015 we expanded our services by opening up a second location. Our Yorkville office is located inside of the Kendall County Food Pantry. This strategic move has given us exposure, and immediate access to men and women in need. PIC shares a space with other medical professionals. Equipped with an ultrasound machine and medical table, our Clinic Director is able to offer all of the same services we offer at our main location.

PIC is funded by the financial support of generous individuals, churches, and companies who are committed to our mission and vision. We receive no government funding.

Education

With intention and vision for the client, it is our hope that each individual successfully moves through our education program, reaching the goals we have established with them.

We know that in order to really impact lives, there are certain key skills that need to be instilled: Healthy Baby, Healthy Self, Healthy Choices, and Healthy Relationships. As our clients learn about these four skills over 20 weeks we are certain they will feel empowered to be strong, engaged parents, and build confidence in their own abilities. We want to see them develop life skills that will advance them in the world and give them the tools they need to be involved in healthy relationships that will strengthen their home and spiritual lives.
