Can you imagine what it would be like to be homeless in the wintertime?
This is the reality for many in our area. It's easy to put them out of mind, but SO much better to pray for them, and ask the Lord to meet their needs. Here is a great way to get involved!
The Wayside Cross Ministry of Aurora organizes this annual event to raise awareness for the needs of the homeless. The proceeds of this event will go to the Wayside Cross Life Spring Center (the women then children's division) and also the Urban Youth Ministries.
Feel free to:
- Come out and just walk and pray, or …
- Make your own personal donation to the cause, or
- Raise funds from your family and friends for this great ministry.
Frequently asked questions:

There is no limit to who can walk. Young children (even in strollers) through adults will benefit from this experience.

We will meet at the Aurora Community Center on the east side of Aurora. This is the site of the wayside cross Life spring Center. It includes walking the sidewalks through the neighborhood.

How long does the event take?
We meet indoors at 8:30 AM for a brief rally and prayer time, including doughnut, bagels, coffee and hot chocolate. Several community leaders, pastors, and church people will be gathered. We will then take less than one hour to walk about 2 miles ending back at the place where we started. Feel free to warm up in side with more goodies at the conclusion of the walk. The event is over by 10 AM.
