Men's Small Group: Dinner With a Perfect Stranger
Village Bible Church || Sugar Grove, IL
Location: Village Bible Church || Sugar Grove, IL, 847 North State Route 47, Sugar Grove, IL US 60554

We all know that parenting is hard work, but come discover on Saturday, July 25th (8:45 am - 2:30 pm) that Parenting is Heart Work. Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller - the founders of the National Center of Biblical Parenting - will come and share practical, biblical advice for your parenting in a fun and uplifting way.
If you're a parent who could use some guidance in raising your children in a God honoring way (which probably includes all parents!) then you won't want to miss this seminar! Although all children are different, a few new ideas will help you tailor solutions to meet the needs of your family. You'll leave with ideas you can put into practice right away.
The seminar is punctuated with drama in all sessions. Question and answer times provide parents with opportunities to present real problems they're facing and hear suggestions. The seminar ends by helping you fill out an Action PlanWorksheet to address specific problems you face in your family.
There is a suggested donation of $20 per person or $30 per couple,
$4 per child / $12 max per family.

If you have the financial means to help defray some of the costs, thank you. If not, simply come as our guests. We don’t want tight finances to keep you away from this helpful biblical parenting training.
Children's Program:
Nursery is available for ages 0-3 and there will be a concurrent children’s program for ages 4-10 entitled Hero Training Camp that will complement what the adults will be learning. It’s fun to watch parents and children grow together.
Using drama, stories, humor and plenty of illustrations, Dr. Turansky and Mrs. Miller will help you touch the hearts of your kids. Strategies directed to the heart help children make lasting changes, but often require that parents think differently about the way they work with their kids. When parents change the way they parent, kids change the way they live. Having the right tools makes all the difference. Give your kids a gift by helping them develop a strong conscience. Children learn to be inner-motivated, doing what's right, making wrongs right, being honest, and demonstrating compassion. Of course, knowing how to parent in this way is a challenge, especially for those who've been raised on behavior modification alone.

About National Center for Biblical Parenting
We have a vision to help parents change the way they think about parenting. The scriptures are relevant and practical for families of all types, whether they be traditional families, single parent families, or blended families. Our goal is to provide practical biblical resources, National Christian Parenting Conferences, and local Effective Parenting Support Groups to give parents new insight into how to live their lives according to God's Word.
The National Center for Biblical Parenting began in 2002 under the leadership of Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN. These two teachers and authors of the Effective Parenting ministry realized the need and opportunity to minister to families was growing rapidly. It's under the banner of the National Center for Biblical Parenting that they hope to equip churches and help families on a larger scale.
The need is great. The answers are available. We are committed to teaching families how to help their children change their hearts, not just their behavior. We hope you enjoy this web site. If you have any questions that aren't yet answered, please feel free to give us a call.
