World Venture | Madrid, SpainOur StoryThe Reesers are serving with World Venture in Madrid, Spain, where only four-tenths of one percent are evangelical Christians. Julie, the daughter of Village elder Al Gonnerman and his wife Jan, grew up at Village Bible Church; Chad is from Peoria. Chad entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ very early in life. He remembers praying to receive Christ as his Savior after his mother tucked him into bed one evening. In his 6th grade yearbook, Chad wrote that his ambition in life was to be a missionary. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Chad attended Dallas Theological Seminary to pursue further study in the Bible’s original languages. God has given Chad a strong conviction for accurate interpretation and communication of God’s Word.
At a young age, Julie made a profession of faith with her dad. She credits her passion for ministry to a dynamic youth ministry, a godly mentor, and her education at Moody Bible Institute. Recently Julie has served as an administrative assistant at Texas Capital Bank in Dallas. She is drawn to Spain because of the great need for the communication of God’s love and salvation that comes through Jesus Christ. In Spain, Chad and Julie seek to reach others with the gospel. In one of the most spiritually dormant places in Europe, they pray God will use them to open up hearts to the light of the gospel. |
