Why Are We Called "The River?"

By now you have enough life experience under your belt to understand that life is like a river.  You never know what lies around the bend up ahead.  No matter what course God allows our life to take, our destination is the same: the dwelling place of God.

The years post-high school through pre-marriage are years that you are making some of the biggest decisions of your life; what you will believe about God and how that will affect you life, what career path you will choose, whether or not you will get married, and if so, who you will marry.  The River is a ministry especially designed to help you navigate through those life decisions through challenging you in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

So, come be a part of the River on Sunday nights.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to call any of the River staff.

What Should I Expect?

RIVER LIFE - River Life usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at Mario and Beth's home at 7:00 P.M. for a time of worship, Bible study, prayer and sharing.

RIVER COMMUNITY - River Community meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month to build community within the River and for reaching out to those who are not yet a part of the River.

The River community might meet at different locations each time they gather. For example, one week you may hangout at starbucks, the next week may be at someone's home, and another week may be a night of bowling, etc.

Cesar and Paula Valdez - God has laid a burden on Cesar and Paula's hearts to minister to young adults for quite some time, and they are both excited to be a part of "The River."  Cesar and Paula have kept Christ the focus as they sought the Lord on a career and who they would have as their lifetime mate.  Cesar and Paula were happily married on April 9, 2004.  As you get to know them, you will definitely see that they are in love with Jesus, with each other and with young adults. They recently had a baby girl named Amalia and are thrilled to be watching her grow.
