Each one of these staff members are committed to serving your on Wednesday nights, Sunday Mornings and at any other opportunity they can. The joy that God has wrought in their lives through an individual relationship with Him, made possible by the work of Christ on the cross, is a joy that they want to share!

Mario and Beth Arindaeng - Mario and Beth have been married for 11 years and have three children; Jack who is almost 5 years old, Evelyn who is 3, and a 4 month old, Gwendolyn. Mario has been a student ministry pastor for over 15 years, and has been the student ministry pastor at Village since 2002. Beth loves gardening, reading and hanging out with her kids. Mario enjoys hanging out with his family and students, sports (especially tennis) and fantasy football.
Josh Elliott – Josh is a senior at Moody Bible Institute and he is from Peoria, IL. His major is youth ministry. He enjoys music, guitar, drums, writing and ministering to students. An interesting fact about Josh is that he used to have long hair up until a year ago (August 2008). Josh’s spiritual gifts are leadership, encouragement, administration and listening. He will be a small group leader and teacher in our high school ministry.
Eric Heater – Eric is a senior at Moody Bible Institute and is from Pennsylvania. He is a music major with an emphasis in voice. He enjoys music and sports. His claim to fame is that people say that he looks like Edward Norton. His spiritual gifts are teaching and leadership. Eric will serve as a small group leader and teacher in the Senior High Ministry.
Megan Kirkland – Megan graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a major in family ministries/ counseling. She loves volleyball, photography and reading. As a child, she wanted to be a game show host and a preacher. Megan works as an administrative assistant and a caregiver for senior citizens. Megan has been serving in the student ministry at Village for 5 years. Megan’s spiritual gifts are hospitality, exhortation and encouragement. She serves in the high school ministry as a family leader and as a discipler of girls.
Lisa O’Brien – She is in her fourth year teaching at Plano High School. She is a Wednesday night family leader and she also disciples high school girls on a weekly basis. Lisa is gifted in teaching and leadership. Lisa has attended Village since 3rd grade and she has been serving in the high school ministry at Village for five years. When she was 5 she wanted to be bald because there was a funny guy at church who was bald. Lisa enjoys reading, and watching Plano High School soccer games.
Brian Wilhelmsen – Brian loves snowboarding, motorcycles, exercising (running/ lifting weights) soccer and hanging out with friends. He roots and cheers for real football (a.k.a. soccer) not “American throwball.” He has been at Village for a total of 5 years over a period of 2 times. Brian graduated from Judson University with a degree in Youth Ministry and will be graduating in December 2009 with a Masters Degree from Liberty University.
Scott Hallebach - Scott has been married to Tracey for 19 years. They have 3 boys; RJ is a sophomore at Trinity, Cody is a sophomore in high school and Aaron is 3 years old. Scott loves sports, especially the White Sox and the Bears, he enjoys going to auctions, as well as reading Christian books, with one of his favorite authors being Spurgeon. He has been at Village for 12 years and has been serving in the high school ministry for the past 5 years. Scott serves as a family leader and a game leader for our Wednesday night ministry, and Scott also has been a senior high Sunday school teacher. His gifts are evangelism and exhortation.
Chet & Renee Kuryliw- Chet and Renee have been married for 22 years. They have 3 children; Andrew who recently graduated from Ohio Tech, Jenn is a freshman in college and Amy is a senior in high school. Chet and Renee are family leaders on Wednesday nights and they enjoy having students hang out at their home. Both of them have the gift of helps, doing many things such as coordinate and oversee students for work days, set up and tear down on Wednesday nights, production of slide shows, administration, leaders on trips, etc. They have served in the student ministry at Village for over 18 years. Chet loves volleyball, computers and biking. He collects coca cola memorabilia and he used to sing, play guitar and play drums in a coffee house band. Renee enjoys sewing and baking. Renee has served as a paraprofessional at McDole elementary for the past 12 years.
Todd & Becky Vandervoorn - Todd and Becky have been married for 7 and ½ years. They have 3 children; Noah who is 5, Tori who is 4 and Alexis who is 2. They served in other student ministries fo 8 years. Becky taught at a Christian school for about 7 years and Todd is an Investment Specialist. Todd’s gifts are in the area of giving, shepherding and faith. Becky loves teens and also enjoys serving and helping people. Both Todd and Becky serve as family leaders in our senior high on Wednesday nights. Todd loves sports (volleyball, basketball, tennis, football, etc), finances, traveling and teenagers. Becky loves traveling, cooking, running, volleyball and gardening.
Frank Roberts – Frank has been married to Sue for 23 years and they have 6 children. Emily is a senior in college, Hayley is a freshman in college , Abby is a senior in high school, Elyse is a freshman in high school, John is in 6th grade and Charlie is in 4th grade. Frank has had experience as a student ministry leader for almost 8 years. Frank taught our high school Sunday school last year and will continue to be our high school Sunday school teacher this fall. He enjoys sports and reading and you can cheer up his day by giving him a cold diet coke!
