Men's Small Groups

What happens when we as men pause our lives for one and a half hours a week and come together to study the Bible, pray, and hold each other accountable? CHANGE!!! When men connect in life-changing ways, a powerful ripple effect touches families, workplaces, and the church. Deeper connections with God and with other men inspire participants to connect more meaningfully in all facets of their lives. They climb beyond the walls of isolation and aspire to a biblical viewpoint marked by integrity, boldness, and compassion.

You have the opportunity to experience a change by joining one of the men's Bible studies being offered. Come and be ready to experience the change that God has ready for your life.

Love and Respect: This study is based on Ephesians 5:33 - “Every husband must love his wife as he loves himself, and wives should respect their husbands.” The premise is that communication between a husband and wife is often frustrated because of the vastly different ways in which men and women perceive love. Women are wired to need unconditional love, while men need to feel unconditionally respected. This study has the potential to revitalize the love in your marriage if you take it seriously and put God’s Word to work. You could reap the benefits of marriage that God intended!

A Man"s Guide To Work: Half a man's life is bound up in his work, but few men ever learn a biblical framework, or "theology of work", to help think correctly about all those hours, weeks and years they invest in their job. Patrick Morley, author of The Man in the Mirror knows that men everywhere want their lives to count, to make a real difference. He has written a book for men in the workforce who want to integrate their faith and work. Whether a businessman, construction worker, salesman, lawyer, accountant, or plumber, men will be introduced to principles which provide a better understanding of themselves and how to be most effective and valuable in their chosen career.

The Dangerous Duty of Delight:

"The radical pursuit of joy in God may cost you your life. . . . But it will be worth it."

The world has an inconsolable longing, which it tries to satisfy with anything but God. Scenic vacations. Sexual exploits. Ascetic rigors. Managerial excellence. Sports extravaganzas. We have turned our back to the breathtaking beauty of God and fallen in love with our shadow.

To delight in the Light is a dangerous duty indeed. It may cost you your friends. It may cost you your reputation. It may cost you your life. But it will be worth it. Because the steadfast love of the Lord is better than life (Psalm 63:3)!
